MODE

The better placed team after the regular season starts with a home game (H-A-H-A-...).

The Quarterfinals will be played 1st placement round (PR) vs 2. qualification round (QR); 2.PR vs 1.QR; 3.PR vs 6.PR; 4.PR vs 5.PR at a time in a "best-of-seven" series.

The winner of the Quarterfinals will play the Semifinals. The best placed team after the intermediate round hosts the worst placed team, the second best hosts the second worst - at a time in a "best-of-seven" series.

The winner of the Semifinals will play the Finals at a time in a "best-of-seven" series.

No penalty-shoot-out in the playoffs - "Sudden Victory Overtime":
 If a playoff game is still undecided at the end of regulation time, the ice is to be resurfaced and the teams will play 20 minutes of sudden victory overtime until sudden death. Should the game still be undecided after the first overtime period, then the teams will continue to play 20-minute periods of sudden victory overtime until the deciding goal is scored. Each team may only use four skaters; however, at least three skaters must be used.
