99ers sign Defender Paquet

Moser Medical Graz99ers have agreed Terms with 24 years old Canadian Defender Philippe Paquet. The towering Back joins the Styrian outfit from Denmark.

At 104 kilogrames and standing tall at 6‘ 3‘, Philippe Paquet is supposed to provide grit and stability to Moser Medical Graz 99ers backline. Arriving from Copenhaguen side CPH Hockey/Hvidovre, where he scored 19 points (six goals) in 29 games, Paquet is expected to arrive on Friday and will be thrown into the fray against HK Acroni Jesenice if everything works out according to plan.
Paquest was a seventh Round-pick in the 2005 NHL-Entry draft for the Montréal Canadiens, but never made the grade at the highest level. He won the NCAA-Championship while captaining Clarkson University in 2007.

„He’s a solid, talented Defender with first class references”, says Bernd Vollmann, General Manager with the 99ers, about the newest addition to the roster.
