Villach add two new players to squad

With only four points out of eleven games, EC REKORD-Fenster VSV complete their team with two forwards. On the one hand, 30 year old Canadian Cory Pecker, on the other hand old acquaintance Mike Craig. Both players receive try-out contrasts.

Mike Craig, who scored last season 30 goals for local rival EC-KAC, is expected in Villach on Wednesday. With eight years playing in Erste Bank Eishockey Liga, the Canadian scored 474 points, therefrom 342 goals. For a 40 year old veteran the try-out contract isn’t usual, but Craig doesn’t have any worries: “I don’t fear that Villach won’t be satisfied with my performance, so it’s no problem for me. I want to come back immediately to ice with the result to play against Vienna. With this game and the other one against Znojmo, I can pick up match practice for derby against Klagenfurt”.

Prolific scorer wanted

The second new arrival is Cory Pecker, who played last four years in Switzerland for Lausanne and Visp. A sixth round pick in 1999 by Calgary Flames, Pecker never made his NHL debut. In the Swiss league he gained 145 goals in 179 NLB games. His arrival is expected on October 25th.
