Youngster-Test at Znojmo vs. Capitals

HC Orli Znojmo versus EV Vienna Capitals will give us the chance to spot talented youngsters on either side on Sunday night. On Monday night, KHL Medvescak Zagreb face off with EC Dornbirn in Lustenau.

Arrangements have been made after a few negotiations, meaning that Erste Bank Eishockey Liga-teams HC Orli Znojmo and EV Vienna Capitals won’t go all-out-attack with their best available team, but rather allow younger players to showcase their talents when the two sides meet at Znojmo on Sunday night. Vienna‘s top-players have to rest a bit after their bitter defeat in the European trophy (1:6 in Bratislava) and the Czech Eagles also appreciate the chance to use less-involved players against quality opposition to find out how they compare. Vienna’s Headocach Tommy Samuelsson explains: „We’ll have 14 frist-temaers and fill up the rest with talented players from the Silver-Caps.We want to give ice-time to those players that have not had a lot of it in the past few ET games. We agreed on that move with Znojmo and they will also use quite a lot of their youngsters. It’s a great chance for every player to state their case for a spot on the roster against quality opposition.” Philipp Pinter and Christian Dolezal will not be travelling due to injuries.

Medvescak adgree terems with Delmore, test versus Dornbirn
KHL Medvescak Zagreb face Nationalliga runners-up EC hagn Leone Dornbirn. Sorry for everyone who thought that would be a great chance to catch up with The Bulldogs’ Aaron Fox, who used to play for Medvescak, but the US-American forward has not yet returned to the most estern part of Austria, as have key defender Mickey Elick and Goalie Hannes Enzenhofer (formerly VSV And KAC respectively)
Medvescak’s General Manager, Markantonio Belincic thinks that the game will be „a good Test. Dornbirn has a good team at their disposal and we’re expecting an interesting, open game. Our Headcoach Marty Raymond will look to find the ideal line combinations and will also try to get the system working. It’s going to be a good game, I’m sure.“
In the mean time, Andy Delmore has won Headcoach Marty Raymond’s favour and has been handed a contract for the upcoming season. He will be playing in Dornbirn, while Ryan Kinasewich and Alan Letang (rehab), Tom Zanoski (muscular Problems) and Saso Rajsar (collar bone) will miss out.
