After the loss yesterday Zvolen wanted to produce a better performance today. They've dominated the first period, outshooting the dragons 20:8. But the green had a hot goalie in Matija Pintaric. The best chances for the Slovaks came by Meidl in 6th, Balaz in 8th and L. Jurik in 18th minute. On the other side Vantroba was only under threat when Ziga Pance tried in 12th and his brother Eric in 16th minute.

Zvolen kept the initiative early in the 2nd period as the Slovaks tested Pintaric but Olimpijas goalie would not give in. In 28th minute the green dragons silenced the home crowd after a nice play. Tomi Mustonen passed the puck to John Hughes who brought it in the zone and found Petr Sachl who blasted it past Vantroba. After the goal Zvolen tried to score an equalizer, but it was Olimpija who added the 2nd after 35 minutes. After a beautiful double pass between youngster Eric Pance and Petr Sachl the younger Pance found Nejc Berlisk unguarded and the defender easily put it in the back of the net.

In the final period Zvolen quickly had a man advantage as Matej Hocevar got sent to the sin bin, but yet again Matija Pintaric proved to be too big of an obstacle for the hosts. After the dragons got back to full streinght Pance brothers had a quick breakaway but Vantroba saved. In 5 minutes however it was 0:3. Ken Ograjensek did what he showed last year in Slohokej league so many times, scoring his 1st goal for HDD Tilia Olimpija. In 56th minute Ziga Pance dailed a final blow to the hosts as he put one past Vantroba for a final score of 4:0 for the dragons.

In tomorrow’s afternoon game Olimpija will take on Czech team Chomutov for the tournaments trophy.

Jesenice wins against Znojmo
HK Acroni Jesenice starts the game with a lot of enthusiasm and awarded in the first ten minutes three Powerplays: Andrei Zidan had the best chance in the eighth minute, but his shot was saved by goalie Lukas Sablik. The opening goal finally made the Czechs after a counterattack - at 4 to 4 on the ice - goalie Michal Fikrt defended a shot by sebas directly on the stick of Riha, who scored the lead. Only moments later the 2-0 was in the air: But Lattner omet aluminum. Now, the Eagles were the more dangerous team, but forgave too many opportunities, even for 1:19 minutes a PP2.

HKJ started the second period very impressively and at 24 minute it was finally Andrei Tavzelj, who scored with a blue liner the 1-1. The fans were still celebrating, it was already 2-1: Andrei Zidan put the puck after a shot by Tomi Hafner over the goal line. Both teams then offered a quick game, but without real scoring chances. But Znojmo scored once more: After a shot from Stehlik's Podesva made the 2:2 with a tip-in.

Also the beginning of the third period was in Jesenices hand. And it was finally Anze Kuralt who scored the 3:2. Antti Pusa and Andrej Tavzelj ensured a clear 5:2-victory. Also a fight beetween Antti Pusa and Peter Kanko the fans got to see. In the line-up of Jesenice was also Rok Jakopic. The striker has already played in Jesenice until season 2009/10. Then he moved to league rival KHL Medvescak Zagreb. In the last season finally parted ways and Jakopic ended the season with Pfaffenhofen (4th league in Germany). On Friday Jakopic trained for the first time with HKJ and was also tested in the game.
