Jaka Ankerst: From Briancon to Jesenice
HK Acroni Jesenice has signed forward Jaka Ankerst. The 22-years-old Slovenian played last season in France for Briancon.
HK Acroni Jesenice plans in the upcoming season with young and hungry players again. One of them is Jaka Ankerst: The 22-year-old Slovenian will strength up the offense of the Red Steelers in the upcoming season...Jaka Ankerst learned to play hockey at HK Bled. At the age of 16 years (2005/06) the forward already celebrated his debut in Bled's first team. 2007/08 the youngster switched to America, but he returned to Slovenia after only 13 games for the New York Apple Core in the EJHL. Back home he played for Bled again and in 2009/10 also for HK Maribor.
Last season Jaka Ankerst searched a new challenge and moved abroad to Briancon. For the club from France the young forward scored ten points – including one goal in 20 games. In addition, he celebrated his debut for the Slovenian-A-Nationalteam at the World Championships in Slovakia.
In 2011/12 Jaka Ankerst will play now for HK Acroni Jesenice in Erste Bank Eishockey Liga.
