Big forward in at Znojmo, Big Opener for Salzburg
HC Orli Znojmo have agreed Terms with former Slovak International Peter Pucher. The free-scoring forward agreed to an initial short-term-deal. Plus: EC Red Bull Salzburg start their pre-Season facing Avangard Omsk form the KHL.
Good news for HC Orli Znojmo: The Eagles have signed Peter Pucher. With 45 Caps for the Slovakian team to his name, the 36 year old Allrounder adds a lot of experience to the team that relies so heavily on its’ young talent. He’s known for his strong passing game and is an ace at the face-off. Pucher’s initial deal will run until Mid-september. The big-framed-Forward is thought to be the catalyst to transform youthful energy, technique and enthusiasm into goals galore for HC Orli Znojmo. He has 552 games (430 Points) in the Czech and 335 games (305) points in the Slovakian league, proving he sure knows where the goals are on a hockey rink.
Restructured Salzburg play Omsk again
It seems like yesterday, and in Fact, it was only yesterday that EC Red Bull Salzburg’s Headcoach Pierre page shared his thoughts on Capitalism, Visions and a new approach to Hockey. Tomorrow, his re-modelled team will have to show what they are capable of against a team from the KHL, a league in which Capitalism has moved in quicker then you could say “Jaromir Jagr japes in Yakutsk”. Jagr may be gone, bound for the Philadelphia Flyers but the Team found replacements. According to the capitalist rule, they spent big and got themselves a reigning world champion in offensive Defender Anssi Salmela. Avangard Omsk showed the Red Bulls one or two things when they played last year at the same rink in Füssen (GER) and the Holders will surely want to make amends for that and send the South-Siberians back to the banks of the Irtysch river. Matthias Trattnig, Veteran of the Red Bulls team at age 32, knows the Qualitiy of the opposition well: „some of our players have trouble tying their laces at the moment while the Russians have been on the ice for the best part of three weeks.” Influential players like Thomas Koch, Goalie Reinhard Divis, Marco Pewal or Ryan Duncan have left the Team and the voids were filled by new faces. “We’ll need some time,” says Trattnig, but smiles: „Red Bull is known to develop players at a high pace. This is our preparation for the European Trophy starting on August 11th.”
