New Goalie for HC Orli Znojmo!

HC Orli Znojmo have a found a new, experienced keeper. 34 years-old Czech Lukas Sablik will guard the Crease for the Eagles in the upcoming season of Erste Bank Eishockey Liga.

Since Jakub Cech jumped ship shortly after signing a contract with HC Orli Znojmo, the management were on the lookout for an experienced man to start their first season in Erste Bank Eishockey Liga. It was not a long void tha was left because Lukas Sablik was out of contract and was therefore available. Sablik’s last club was HC Karlovy Vary in Extraliga, where he played 16 games. The new netminder has spent most of his career with
HC Dukla Jihlava, with whom he was relegated twelve years ago. Spells with HC Karlovy Vary and HC Slovan Ustecti Lvi ensued. On his return to Karlovy Vary, Sablik was loaned out to second division teams, but was also part of the Championship-Wining squad of 2008/09.
His first appearence between the Orli Znojmo pipes will most likely happen on August 2nd, 2011m, when the newest addition to Erste Bank Eishockey Liga face HC Trebic as part of their pre-season preparations.
