Awards are things that Andy Delmore is used to. He was voted into the DEL-All-Star-Team twice, and one time each into the AHL- and OHL-All-Star Teams , won the OHL, played in more than 250 NHL–games and reapt the Eddie Shore Award in the AHL in 2006. He still holds the record for most goals scored by a Defenseman in the playoffs for the Philadelphia Flyers and was the only rookie Defenseman to score a Hattrick in the NHL-Play-Offs in 2007.

Nicknamed “Elmore” for not considering too much on his “D”-duties, Delmore has made a name for himself with his scoring touch. The 6’1” Ontario native arrives for the try-out form Lorenskog IK in Norway. Before playing in GET-Ligaen, he spent time with NHL-Franchises Philadelphia Flyers, (where, during the 2002-03 NHL Season, he tied Legends Sergei Gonchar and Nicklas Lidstrom for most goals (18) by a defenseman), Nashville Predators, Buffalo Sabres, Columbus Blue Jackets as well as many an AHL-team. Having returned to North America after three Seasons in the DEL, the lure of Europe proved string again and Delmore joined GET-Ligaen side Lorenskog IK, for whom he recorded 18 points from 35 games.

"We can confirm that after long talks and negotiations we signed a six week try out period with Andy Delmore. We want to have a bigger roster during preseason, in case of injuries and to strengthen competition in the team, to get 100% from everyone. Andy Delmore is a top D-man, with great leadership skills, an excellent powerplay player, and he has one of the hardest slap-shots in pro hockey. Andy will stay in Zagreb up to six weeks during which his skills will be put to test and evaluated by coach and staff. After those evaulations he may or may not be given a full season contract." said Markoantonio Belini%u0107 in front of KHL Medveš%u010Dak Zagreb and added: "During next few days we expect players to come to Zagreb, as well as our new Coach, and we will start our preseason plan straight away with tests and measurings."

Expect Delmore’s first appearance at the Fredo Spajic Memorial in early (2nd to 4th) September.
