After signing already Thomas Ward-Cardinal and Luka Tosic HK Acroni Jesenice presented today with Andrej Tavzelj their third new defender. The 1.87 meters wide and 97-Kilogramms defenseman returns after almost two seasons in Italy playing for Pontebba and SG Cortina to Slovenia.

Once Slovenian Champion
Last season Tavzelj played 41 games for HC Pontebba in Italy's Serie A, scoring nine points - including one goal. Previously the 27-years-old defender stayed almost five years with local-rival HDD TILIA Olimpija Ljubljana, before he left the green dragons in mid-January 2010 to SG Cortina. 148 games the 27-years-old Slovene played for Ljubljana in Erste Bank Eishockey Liga, scoring 16 points - including four goals. With the capitals the defenseman 2007/08 even reached the finals and in 2006/07 the National Team player won with Olimpija the Slovenian championship.

The Steelers also extended the contract with Denis Rakovic (SLO). The 19-years-old defender played last season already one game for the Slovenian Champion in Erste Bank Eishockey Liga. And he also made 27 games for HKJ II in the Slovenian League, scoring 13 points here.

Villach have fixed their pre-season-program
Furthermore EC REKORD-Fenster VSV have fixed his pre-season-program: The Eagles will play eight games, the first at Rudi-Hiti-Cup in Bled against HDD TILIA Olimpija Ljubljana.
