New Center for Medvescak!
New center for KHL Medvescak Zagreb: David Brine, a 26-year-old center from Truro Canada, switches from San Antonio Rampage to Croatia.
KHL Medvescak Zagreb has a new center! The new man is David Brine (CAN) and he switches from the San Antonio Rampage (AHL) to Croatia. For the farm team of the Florida Panthers the 26-year-old Canadian played last season 67 games, scoring 14 points - including two hits.
Nine games for the Florida Panthers
Previously Brine spent nearly four years with the Rochester Americans (AHL). For the “Amerks” the 26-year-old center played overall 243 games, scoring 92 points - including 35 hits. In 2007/08 the Florida Panthers were calling and David Brine got the chance to play in the NHL. Nine games he did for the Panthers, scoring one point.
Best defensive forward
His early years David Brine spent with the Truro Bearcats in MJAHL (2002/03) and in the QMJHL with the Halifax Mooseheads (from 2003 to 2006), where he was awarded in 2005/2006 even as the best defensive forward of the league.
David Brine is expected in Zagreb end of July. The bears are incidentally the first European station in the career of the 26-year-old Canadian.
