Dave MacQueen coaches Dornbirn
Erste Bank Eishockey Liga-newcomer Dornbirn has done his first important personal decision for the upcoming season: The Bulldogs presented the Canadian Dave MacQueen as their new Head Coach.
Dave MacQueen grew up in Woodstock, Ontario. After ten years playing professional hockey the 53-years old Canadian switched 1993 the roles and became Head Coach of the Peterborough Petes (OHL), which he lead in 1996 to the championship. The next two years Dave MacQueen worked as Assistant Coach for Tempa Bay Lightning in the NHL.
After two very instructive years MacQueen returned in 1999 to the OHL, where he should spend the next twelve years! 996 times the Canadian stood behind the boards in the Ontario Hockey League, which brought him the status of a legend! After coaching the Erie Otters for seven years, MacQueen worked last five seasons as Head Coach of the Sarnia Stingboth (both OHL). In the future the 53-years old Canadian wants to develop the hockey talents in Dornbirn, his first station in Europe. Dave MacQueen signed in Dornbirn a 1-year-contract.
Together with the new Head Coach the Dornbirner Eishockey Club wants to build the team for 2012/13 in the next weeks.
